About our Founder

Cara Kelly has more than 20 years of experience in the marketing research and consumer insights field. Prior to Storypoint, Cara served as Vice President of Knowledge and Insights at Dairy Management Inc. (DMI), the promotion arm of the National Dairy Council.

While at DMI, Cara led streams of insights initiatives and partnered with dairy industry companies to drive industry growth and innovation. Leveraging her deep understanding of consumer and product trends, and marketplace dynamics, Cara fulfilled a strategic role in scoping, synthesizing and interpreting trends and data to drive critical insights for DMI’s consumer packaged goods and quick-serve restaurant partners. Cara also utilized in-market testing, primary research, sales data, menu and traffic data, and trend reports to identify category-level growth opportunities.

While at DMI, Cara led streams of insights initiatives and partnered with dairy industry companies to drive industry growth and innovation.

Prior to DMI, Cara led innovation, segmentation, and brand advertising work for the Jimmy Dean and Sara Lee brands as a Research Manager at Sara Lee (now Tyson Foods).

Cara also has extensive experience in project management, analysis, and client services at MarketVision Research, Promotion Decisions (now part of GfK), and Arbor Research (also now part of GfK).

Cara double majored in Marketing and Philosophy at the University of Scranton and completed her MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2009 with concentrations in marketing, statistics, and strategy.
